In the atlas of Italian design defined as technologically pragmatic, Vittorio Prato is true to type, something he confirms with “ICE MORE” designed for Meritalia, a system of modular couches with very simple lines, built with consolidated and safe techniques. The basis of the project is inspired by an idea that has already been concretized with “Iceberg”, a product that was highly innovative when it was launched and that has now been enriched by additional technical and formal elements, to the point that it has been presented as a new project: “ICE MORE”, a name that affectionately refers to its predecessor. “ICE MORE”, which comprises few standard elements, is a system that lends itself to countless compositions that meet every kind of requirement in every kind of interior. Defined in terms of dimensions as a basic module measuring eight centimeters, its recurrent measurement is its multiple, 24 centimeters, that defines its modularity. The production method, based on few basic elements, makes “ICE MORE” a highly industrial and flexible product, suited to any kind of compositive evolution. Apart from being versatile, it is also very practical thanks to the easily removable slipcovers.
